Distinguished Guests, Ladies and Gentlemen, Dear Friends,

Good morning. It is my great pleasure to attend the "2007 Guangdong International Tourism and Culture Festival & PPRD Tourism Promotion Convention." As the representative of Guangdong tourist industry, I would like to brief you on our experience and understanding of investing and operating the OCT East in Shenzhen city of Guangdong province.

The great Seventeenth National Party Congress has unveiled the mission to thoroughly apply the Scientific Outlook on Development. "To build ecological civilization, and create an energy and resource-efficient and environment-friendly industrial structure as well as economic growth mode and consumption pattern" has become a basic national policy and development strategy. When operating the OCT East Project, the OCT Group implements the Party's policies of realizing scientific development, comprehensive sustainable development and ecological civilization. It is the group's attempt in setting up an energy-and-resource-efficient and environment-friendly tourism pattern and developing mountainous region recreational tourism. It is also the group's first attempt in eco-tourism.

From 2002 to 2003，the OCT Group conducted overall investigation and finally decided to make the Sanzhoutian fields in Dameisha, Shenzhen as the location of the project, so as to take the advantage of the geographical location and fine industrial structure there. In particular, this area had sound investment climate, an undeniably suitable site to build a comprehensive ecological holiday resort. The project was launched in December, 2004 and completed on July 28 this year. Within four years, with a total investment of 3.5 billion RMB, OCT East, covering an area of 9 square kilometers, came into being by the Shenzhen East golden coast.

OCT East consists of two theme parks--the Grand Canyon and the Tea Valley, and other attractions like the Yunhaigu Sports Park, Interlaken Hotel, Hotspring Spa, grand show sites and low density residential areas. With the theme of "bring you back to the nature", the characteristic of the cultural tourism, during its three months of trial operation, it has attracted a large number of visitors. According to statistics, during the 73 days from July 28 to October7, it has received over 300,000 visitors. The company's prosperity has also contributed to the local economic growth. Calculating on the base that one-yuan profit in tourist industry will generate seven yuan for the local area, OCT East will generate billions of added value per year for the local economy.

As a large state-owned investment enterprises with a strong sense of social responsibility, the OCT Group insists on implementing the scientific outlook on development and has been trying to set a good example for pursuing sustainable development. In the area of ecological environmental protection, OCT East also made a lot of explorations and experiments. OCT group highlights ten projects of recycling economy, for example, using wind power to supplement power supply in the resort; collecting remaining heat from the air-conditioning system for water heating; 500,000 square meters' man-made wetland; using air-pressured energy-saving water closets and solar energy, paying attention to soil and water conversation and sewage treatment, etc. With these efforts, upon its opening on July 28, OCT East received the award from the National Tourism Administration and the National Environmental Protection Administration. That was the National Eco-tourism Demonstration Region jointly. We were the first resort to be granted this award.

OCT East has always borne the duty of developing eco-civilization and promoting the harmony between human and nature. It makes great efforts to build an energy-efficient and environment-friendly resort, and establishes a unique tourism brand based on it, trying to improve the influence of China's tourism in the world.

Looking back to the past five years, we are keenly aware that the Central government and Guangdong provincial government has made wise strategy, and Shenzhen municipal government and relevant official departments have offered great support and created such a favorable investment environment, otherwise OCT East would not have achieved today's success. Ever since the launch of the project, we've received close attention and great support from the Central Government, State-owned Assets Supervision Commission, Guangdong Province, Shenzhen Municipal government and Yantian District government. Their kindly care is the inexhaustible impetus for us. Please allow me, on behalf of our company, to express our sincere thanks to all of you for the great support.

Looking forward to the future, we are full of hope and confidence. The second phase of the OCT East projects, which includes the eight amazing sites of the great Canyon, marine plaza, High Field Wine Town, and the Buddhist culture site of Guanyinlian park, would be completed and put into operation in 2008. We have been making efforts to innovate and develop ourselves. We will never cease to develop and improve the influence of the tourism brand of OCT.
