二、口譯技巧

1.反譯
Perhaps nothing matched their economic impact until the advent of the personal computer.
在個人計算機出現之前，它對經濟所產生的影響或許無與倫比。

My message is that no enterprise needs to be more innovative than an established business in a mature industry.
我發言的主要意思是，在已經發展成熟的行業里，一家基業一定的公司比其他任何企業都需要革新。

2.詞性轉化

動詞轉化為介詞

介詞轉化為動詞
With the Free Trade Agreement and NAFTA, trade patterns changed in North America, from east-west to north-south.
隨著“自由貿易協定”和“北美自由貿易協定”的執行，北美的貿易從東西貿易變成了南北貿易。

Our second innovation was through our commitment to customer service.
我們的第二次革新體現在我們對顧客的服務承諾。

副詞轉化為動詞
Today, CN not only crosses Canada, we also go right through the center of the United States, down to the Gulf of Mexico.
今天，CN鐵路網不僅橫跨加拿大，還穿越美國的中部，直達墨西哥灣。

形容詞轉化為名詞
Other railroads focused on marshalling trains, waiting for enough freight to make a train’s trip cost effective.
其它的鐵路公司強調火車培烈，等到火車滿載時才發車，以實現成本效應。

名詞轉化為動詞
We began a system of scheduled freight service that delivers cars on time.
我們提供了按時發貨的服務，使汽車按時抵達目的地。

3.增詞
We saw that Canada-US trade and trade with Mexico was growing.
我們看到美國和加拿大的貿易以及美國和墨西哥的貿易在增長。

Through mergers and partnerships, CN created a unique rail network, designed to take advantage of the growth of north-south trade.
通過合并和建立伙伴關系的方法，CN公司創建了一個獨特的鐵路網絡，旨在利用南北貿易的增長。（增加動詞）

4.意譯
The trucks were handling most of that growth.
這要歸功于卡車的運輸作用。

The delivery times are listed not in number of days, but in number of hours.
送貨時間不是以天來計算的，而是以小時來計算的。

5.句子成分的轉化
A few years ago, we told our customers we would deliver our services with no delays and no excuses.
幾年之前，我們對客戶承諾，我們提供的服務決不拖延、毫無借口。（句子主干成分和次要成分轉化）
