Salon scheme A little scene on the side of a building
大樓一側(cè)的一幕
Keep listening on the scanner to make sure no police come!
注意聽掃描器, 看著點兒警察!
Yelled Catherine from the scaffold she had climbed onto.
凱瑟琳爬到腳手架 上喊道.
She licked the salty sweat running down her face
她舔了舔從臉上流下來 的咸咸的汗水,
And thought this was an awfully stupid scheme!
心想這次計劃真是 愚蠢之極!
She had been sceptical from the start.
打一開始她就持 懷疑態(tài)度.
How was she supposed to scale the wall from here?
從這兒怎么能爬越 這堵墻呢?
The salon window was only a meter above her, but there was nothing to grab.
畫廊的窗子離她只有 一米高,可那兒卻沒有 東西可抓.
Nervous, she sat down to think.
她很緊張, 便坐下來動動腦筋.
The scenery from up here was beautiful.
從上面看景色真美.
She loved seeing Central park from up high.
她喜歡從高處看著 中央公園.
She had scarcely thought this when she scanned a cop walking towards her down below
剛剛想到這里, 她便掃到下邊 有個警察朝她走來.
She had scant time to lie down and hide.

She thought that she preferred this scenicview from the other side of a window

Knowing that she was falling behind her schedule she peeked over.
由于知道她已經(jīng)落在 計劃后面了,她朝那邊 偷偷張望了一下.
The cop was gone.
警察走了.
She leaned a little too far, unfortunately and the rope began to slip,
不幸的是,她的身體 傾斜過了頭, 繩子開始滑動,
Causing the scaffold to tip.
腳手架也跟著開始傾斜
Catherine fell twelve floors and landed in a passing sanitation truck.

Coo!, just like in the movies. She thought.

Then she caught the scent of the trash and almost vomited.

Not liking this, she quickly thought what this new scenario would mean?
由于不喜歡這樣的處境 她很快就想這種新的 局面意味著什么?
Would she have to wait until they arrived at a salvage dump?
難道她必須一直等著 到達廢物回收站嗎?
It was a savage world there.Was a young, college girl safe?
那兒可是個不文明的世 界在那種地方一個年輕 的女大學生會安全嗎?
Pushing aside a free sample bag of sanitary napkins, Catherine saw a dead cat!
推開一包免費衛(wèi)生巾 的樣品,凱瑟琳看到了 一只死貓!
No way! She said,
不行! 她說,
Stood up and jumped out of the truck,
她站起身來, 跳出卡車,
Which was luckily stopped at a traffic light.
幸好此時遇到紅燈, 車停了下來.
Back in the park she punched Julie for sanctioning the whole escapade.
回到公園,她給了朱 麗一拳,誰讓她批準 整個這次逃跑.
