deadline-decrease God speaks
上帝說(shuō)話(huà)了
As the dean stood on the deck of his boat,
院長(zhǎng)站在船甲板上,
he noticed a piece of decayed debris floating by.
看見(jiàn)一塊腐爛的碎片 漂過(guò).
"I have deceived myself," he thought,
"我欺騙了自己,"他想
"my decline has simply shown me
"我的衰落清楚地顯示
that my inner character is really like that piece of debris.
我內(nèi)在的人格就像那 碎片,
But I am decomposing on the inside.
但我的腐爛是從里面 開(kāi)始的."
"I have filled my life with decorative nonsense."
"我一生很能裝點(diǎn)面 門(mén)卻毫無(wú)意義,"
He declared to the open sea.
他向空曠的大海宣布,
"Now my debt is too great
"現(xiàn)在我債務(wù)纏身,
and the drug dealer I owe money to is coming to visit me
我欠毒品販子錢(qián), 他要來(lái)找我,
with deadly intentions.
置我于死地.
It was a decade of excess,but my deadline has come!
這十年是多活的, 而我的最后期限已到!
I am not a decent person and I know it!
我不是個(gè)體面的人, 這我知道!
God,why did you have to make me this way???"
上帝？?鬮?裁匆？ 讓我這樣???"
"Let your desires decrease." A rumbling voice from heaven said.
"讓你的欲望減少一些 吧!"天上傳來(lái)隆隆的聲 音,
"And let a desire for me increase in you.
"讓你對(duì)我的渴望增加 一點(diǎn)兒,
Do not decorate yourself on the outside with what does not matter.
不要用無(wú)用的東西 裝飾你的外表,
Decorations fade.
因?yàn)檠b飾會(huì)消退.
It is what is on the inside that counts!Be holy as I am holy!"
重要的是內(nèi)心, 要像我一樣圣潔!"
As the dean stood in awe that God had really spoken to him,
院長(zhǎng)心懷敬畏地站著, 因?yàn)樯系壅娴膶?duì)他說(shuō) 話(huà)了,
he almost didn't decipher what God was saying.
但他幾乎沒(méi)有理解上 帝在說(shuō)什么.
"Do you mean that I should simplify my life?" He yelled.
"你是說(shuō)我應(yīng)該簡(jiǎn)化生 活嗎?"他喊道,
But there was no more answer.
但是不再有回答.
God had spoken once and he would not speak further.
上帝已經(jīng)說(shuō)了一次, 他不會(huì)再說(shuō)的.
The Dean went back into the boat
院長(zhǎng)回到船中,
and was about to begin his usual decompression
正準(zhǔn)備像往常一樣
by having a glass of Vodka.
喝一杯伏特加減壓,
He stopped,however, and decided to listen to God.
但他停了下來(lái), 決定聽(tīng)上帝的話(huà).
"The first thing I will do,"he thought, "is selling this boat!"
"我要做的第一件事 情,"他想,"就是 賣(mài)掉這艘船!"
