However, what if I ask them to give up their cars? You know now most cars use gasoline as fuels. Not to mention the terrible nuclear war.

I think the fundamental reason of environment problems is that we are never satisfied with what we have got. Can we stop polluting the environment and enjoy a peaceful life? Most people will probably say: "No!"
