He's got cancer of the liver with secondaries in the spine.

He was in quite a lot of pain when he first arrived.

He said the pain in his back is a stabbing pain.
他說背疼起來的時候像被針刺一樣。
He also has pain in the liver area and he describes this as an aching pain.
吉姆的肝臟部分也會經常疼，據他描述是酸疼。
Jim was taking regular analgesia at home but it's not enough now.
吉姆在家的時候服過止痛藥，但是似乎沒什么作用。
He rated the pain as 9 out of 10 when I spoke to him.

Doctor Donnelly saw Jim this morning and ordered syringe driver.

I explained to Jim that this will give him a small amout of painkiller medication continuously.

The subcut cannula for the syringe driver has been inserted into his abdomen.
