9.國家體育場

The National Stadium is a stunning Beijing landmark. It has been nicknamed the "bird's nest" due to the web of twisting steel sections that form its roof. The building was designed by the Swiss architecture firm Herzog &de Meuron for use throughout the 2008 Summer Olympics and Paralympics. It covers an area of 20.4 hectares, with its tallest point at 69.21 meters。
The stadium has two independent structures, a red concrete seating bowl and the outer steel frame 50 feet away. The steel frame is shaped like a saddle and is an elliptical structure weighing 42,000 tons. The three-level seating can hold up to 91,000 spectators, and the building is considered to be the world's largest enclosed space。
國家體育場位于北京奧林匹克公園中心區南部，主體建筑為“鳥巢”，是2008年第29屆奧林匹克運動會的主體育場。工程總占地面積21公頃，建筑面積258,000㎡。場內觀眾坐席約為91000個，其中臨時坐席約11000個。
國家體育場這一巨型體育場設計由2001年普利茨克獎獲得者赫爾佐格、德梅隆與中國建筑師李興剛等合作完成，形態如同孕育生命的“巢”，它更像一個搖籃，寄托著人類對未來的希望。設計者們對這個國家體育場沒有做任何多余的處理，只是坦率地把結構暴露在外，因而自然形成了建筑的外觀。
2008年北京奧運會期間，在這里舉行了奧運會、殘奧會開閉幕式、田徑比賽及足球比賽決賽。奧運會后，國家體育場成為北京市民廣泛參與體育活動及享受體育娛樂的大型專業場所，并成為具有地標性的體育建筑和奧運遺產。
