In 1863, Professor Otto Lindenbrock found a secret message in an old book he had recently bought.

The message spoke of a trip to the centre of the Earth through a volcano in Iceland.

Immediately, he got his things packed and went to iceland, forcing his nephew Axel to go with him.

In Iceland, the Professor hired a guide named Hans. When the three of them reached the volcano, they journeyed underground through a small cave.
