Today, you're going to hear a story of a great magician.

He was born on September 16th, 1956 in New Jersey.
1956年9月16日，他出生于新澤西州。
He picked up magic at eight and began performing professionally at twelve.
他8歲學習魔術，12歲登臺表演。
By the age of sixteen, he was already teaching magic at New York University.
16歲的時候，他就已經是紐約大學的魔術教師了。
In 1977, he was chosen to host a TV show, The Magic of ABC.
1977年，他被選中主持一檔電視節目——《ABC魔術》。
The show was a huge success, and made him known to the whole world.
節目取得巨大成功，他的名字從此家喻戶曉。
He understands his craft more than any other magician before him.
相比于前人，他對魔術有著更多的理解。
He said, "Before there can be wonders, there must be wonder."
他說："不積跬步，無以至千里。"
Where others think, "It can't be done," he always says, "Yes, it can."
每當別人認為"這事兒不可能實現"的時候，他總是說："不，可以實現"。
With this attitude, he never stops amazing people with magic.
憑著這一態度，他不斷地用魔術帶給人們驚喜。
But the greatest work he thinks he has done is Project Magic.
但在他看來，"魔術計劃"才是他最偉大的作品。
This is a project established in March 1982 to help disabled patients.
該項目創立于1982年3月，旨在幫助殘疾病人。
Every year, he performs over 550 shows and has created many box office records.
每年，他都要表演550多場魔術，已創下諸多票房紀錄。
His love for magic is everything to him.
對他而言，對魔術的愛就是一切。
And to those who want to become great magicians, he gave this advice:

"Practise, practise, practise, and never consider anything impossible."
