One day, Thomas Jefferson, the President of the U.S.A., was crossing a deep river on a horse with some travelers.
One of the travelers didn’t have a horse, so he asked Jefferson to take him across.
Jefferson immediately agreed to help him.
After they both made it safely on the other side of the river, someone asked the man,
“Why did you ask the President for help?
Did you know him?”
The man was shocked as he didn’t know Jefferson was the President.
“All I knew,” he said, “is that on some of your faces was written the answer NO,
but there was the answer YES on his face.”
