Lesson 15: My Helmet Saved My Life!
第十五課：我的頭盔救了我的命。
It was a beautiful fall day. I was out riding my bicycle.
這是一個美麗的秋日。我正騎車外出。
I guess I rode over a hole in the road. All of a sudden, WHAM!
我猜我的車陷入了路上的一個洞里。突然之間，嘭！
I went down hard on my right side. That really hurt!
我身體右側倒在地上。真的很疼！
My head hit the ground. I lay there for a few minutes.
我的頭撞到地上。我在那兒躺了幾分鐘。
I tried to get up, but I couldn't! "There's something wrong with me," I thought.
我嘗試著起來，但我起不來。我肯定出了什么問題，我想。
I felt so terrible that I lay down again.
當我再次躺著時，
Then I saw blood on my shoe. My hand and knee were bleeding.
我感覺非常糟糕。之后，我看到了鞋子里的鮮血。我的手和膝蓋都在流血。
As I lay there, I took off my helmet. There was a sharp rock sticking out of it.
我躺在那里，當我脫下頭盔，發現有一塊尖利的巖石扎在上面。
It was pretty scary to look at. Thank goodness I wore my helmet!
看著相當嚇人。謝天謝地，我戴著頭盔。
I shouted for help. A stranger stopped his truck and came to help me.
我呼救。一個陌生人停下他的卡車過來幫我。
He put my bike in the back of his truck and drove me to the hospital.
他將我的自行車放在卡車后面，載著我去了醫院。
When my mother got to the hospital, she gave me a big hug.
當我母親到達醫院時，她給了我一個大大的擁抱。
"I'm so glad you were wearing your helmet," she said.
“我非常高興你戴著頭盔。”她說道。
She knew I was careless and did not always wear my helmet.
她知道我粗心大意，常常不戴頭盔。
But I'll never be careless again! My bicycle helmet saved my life!
但是我再也不會粗心大意了！我的自行車頭盔救了我一命！
