M: Hey Beth! You look upset. Anything wrong?
男士：貝斯！你看上去不開心。出什么事了嗎？
W: I just found out I have to move out of my place.
女士：我不能住在我現在的住處了。
M: You are kidding. Why?
男士：你不是開玩笑吧。為什么？
W: I'm living in a quite old house. And now something's wrong with the water pipes. We don't have any water in the house. And apparently, it's gonna take about two weeks to fix the problem. And it's really bad timing, with mid-term exams coming up and everything.
女士：我住的房子很舊了。現在水管出了問題，家里都斷水了。而且要修好大概得需要兩周左右的時間。問題出的太不是時候了，我馬上要期中考試了，而且還有很多其他事。
M: So have you figured out what you are going to do?
男士：那你想好怎么辦了嗎？
W: Well, some friends said I could stay at their place. They don't have an extra bedroom, but they said it's OK for me to sleep on their living room couch.
女士：幾個朋友說我可以和他們一起住。但是他們沒有空閑的臥室，但是他們說我可以睡在他們客廳的沙發上。
M: You could probably handle that for a couple of weeks?
男士：你應該可以那樣湊合幾個星期吧？
W: I guess so. I mean it's really nice of them to offer, and it's free. The only problem is they already have four people living there so it could be a little crowded.
女士：應該可以。我覺得他們真的很好，而且是免費讓我住。但是唯一不方便的一點就是他們那里現在就住了四個人，已經有點擠了。
M: Um, any other options?
男士：啊，那還有別的選擇嗎？
W: Well, I did find a small hotel on 3rd Street right near the campus.
女士：我實際上在學校附近第三大街上找到了一個小旅店。
M: Oh right! A lot of kids, parents stay there when they come for a visit.
男士：哦，對！很多孩子家長來看他們時都住在那里。
W: Yes. I could get a room there. They have a weekly rate and it's pretty reasonable, but... I don't know.
女士：是的。我可以在那邊訂一間房。她們那里可以按周計價，價格公道。但是……我也不知道。
M: At least at the hotel you'd have a place of your own. You know, so you could get more done.
男士：至少在酒店里你有了屬于自己的空間。那樣的話你能做更多事情。
W: That's definitely a plus. But I have to think about it. Even though it's pretty cheap, it will still end up costing me some money and my budget's pretty tight right now.
女士：那的確是一個優點。但是我還是得考慮一下。雖然很便宜，但總是一筆開支。我現在預算很緊張。
