The Chinese government is expressing concern about North Korea's planned satellite launch.

The Foreign Ministry has issued a statement, saying that while North Korea has the right to the peaceful use of space, it should be exercised within the limitations of UN Security Council resolutions.

Under UN Security Council rules, North Korea is barred from launching ballistic missiles.
