The boy reached the small, abandoned church just as night was falling.

He fell asleep, and when he awoke the sun was already high.

He began to dig at the base of the sycamore.
他開始在無花果樹下挖掘。
"You old sorcerer," the boy shouted up to the sky.
“老巫師，”男孩自言自語，
"You knew the whole story. You even left a bit of gold at the monastery so I could get back to this church.
“你什么都知道，甚至還給我留了一點金子，好讓我能回到這個教堂。
The monk laughed when he saw me come back in tatters. Couldn't you have saved me from that?"
看到我衣衫襤褸地跑回去，那修士都笑了，你就不能讓我免遭這一劫？”
"No," he heard a voice on the wind say. "If I had told you, you wouldn't have seen the Pyramids. They're beautiful, aren't they?"
“不能。”他聽到風對他說，“如果我事先告訴你，你就看不到金字塔了。它們很壯美，不是嗎？”
