Ron knocked, but there was no answer.
羅恩敲門，卻沒有人答應。
'He's not out, is he?' said Hermione, who was shivering under her cloak.
“他沒出去吧，對不對？”赫敏說著，在斗篷下面發抖。
Ron had his ear to the door.
羅恩把耳朵貼在門上。
'There's a weird noise,' he said. 'Listen — is that Fang?'
“有一種奇怪的聲音，”他說，“聽——是牙牙嗎？”
Harry and Hermione put their ears to the door, too.
哈利和赫敏也把耳朵貼到門上去聽。
From inside the cabin came a series of low, throbbing moans.
小屋里面傳來一陣陣低低的、有規律顫動的呻吟聲。
'Think we'd better go and get someone?' said Ron nervously.
“咱們最好去找人來好嗎？”羅恩不安地說。
'Hagrid!' called Harry, thumping the door. 'Hagrid, are you in there?'
“海格！”哈利叫道，用力拍門，“海格，你在家嗎？”
There was a sound of heavy footsteps, then the door creaked open.
傳來沉重的腳步聲，然后門吱呀一聲開了。
Hagrid stood there with his eyes red and swollen; tears splashing down the front of his leather waistcoat.
海格站在那里，眼睛紅腫，眼淚紛紛落在他那件皮背心的前襟上。
'Yeh've heard!' he bellowed, and he flung himself onto Harry's neck.
“你們聽到了！”他大聲喊叫，然后一下子就撲到哈利身上，兩手摟住哈利的脖子。
Hagrid being at least twice the size of a normal man, this was no laughing matter.
海格至少有常人兩倍大，這可不是開玩笑的事。
Harry, about to collapse under Hagrid's weight, was rescued by Ron and Hermione,
哈利在海格的重壓之下幾乎就要崩潰了，幸而得到羅恩和赫敏的救援，
who each seized Hagrid under an arm and heaved him, Harry helping, back into the cabin.
他們分別鉆到海格的腋下把他架了起來。哈利也幫了一把，三個人就這樣把海格弄回了小屋。
Hagrid allowed himself to be steered into a chair and slumped over the table,
海格聽任自己被引到椅子上坐下，然后撲到桌子邊上，
sobbing uncontrollably, his face glazed with tears which dripped down into his tangled beard.
控制不住地抽泣起來，臉上滿是淚水，淚珠也跌落到他那糾結的胡子上。
'Hagrid, what is it?' said Hermione, aghast.
“海格，怎么啦？”赫敏問，驚呆了。
Harry spotted an official-looking letter lying open on the table. 'What's this, Hagrid?'
哈利發現桌子上有封官方模樣的信件，已經拆開了。“那是什么，海格？”
Hagrid's sobs redoubled, but he shoved the letter towards Harry, who picked it up and read aloud:
