'Psst — Harry!' He turned, halfway along the third-floor corridor,
“噫——哈利！”哈利在四樓的走廊半中腰轉過身來，
to see Fred and George peering out at him from behind a statue of a humpbacked, one-eyed witch.
看見弗雷德和喬治從一個獨眼駝背的女巫雕像后面向他窺望。
'What are you doing?' said Harry curiously. 'How come you're not going to Hogsmeade?'
“你們在干嗎？”哈利好奇地問道，“你們怎么沒有到霍格莫德村去呢？”
'We've come to give you a bit of festive cheer before we go,' said Fred, with a mysterious wink. 'Come in here ...'
“我們走以前來給你一點兒節日氣氛?！备ダ椎抡f，神秘地眨了一下眼睛，“到這里來……”
He nodded towards an empty classroom to the left of the one-eyed statue. Harry followed Fred and George inside.
他向獨眼雕像左邊的一間空教室點了一下頭，哈利跟著弗雷德和喬治進去了。
George closed the door quietly and then turned, beaming, to look at Harry. 'Early Christmas present for you, Harry,' he said.
喬治輕輕關上門，然后轉過身來，滿臉是笑，看著哈利。“提早給你送圣誕禮物呢，哈利?！彼f。
Fred pulled something from inside his cloak with a flourish and laid it on one of the desks.
弗雷德手一揮從斗篷里面抽出了一個東西，把它放在一張空桌上。
It was a large, square, very worn piece of parchment with nothing written on it.
那是一張大大的、方方正正的、很舊的羊皮紙，上面什么也沒有寫。
Harry, suspecting one of Fred and George's jokes, stared at it.
哈利以為這又是弗雷德和喬治的玩笑，瞪眼看著它。
'What's that supposed to be?'
“你們說這是什么呀？”
'This, Harry, is the secret of our success,' said George, patting the parchment fondly.
“這個嘛，哈利，是我們成功的秘密。”喬治說道，多情地拍了拍那張羊皮紙。
'It's a wrench, giving it to you,' said Fred, 'but we decided last night, your need's greater than ours.'
“把它給你真有點兒舍不得，”弗雷德說，“不過昨晚我們認定你比我們更需要它。”
'Anyway, we know it off by heart,' said George. 'We bequeath it to you. We don't really need it any more.'
“不管怎么說，我們已經記住它的內容了。”喬治說，“我們把它送給你。我們不再需要它了?！?/div>
'And what do I need with a bit of old parchment?' said Harry.
“這樣一小張破舊的羊皮紙，我要它干嗎？”哈利問。
'A bit of old parchment!' said Fred, closing his eyes with a grimace as though Harry had mortally offended him. 'Explain, George.'
“一小張破舊的羊皮紙！”弗雷德說，閉起眼睛做了個鬼臉，好像哈利小瞧了他似的?！敖忉屢幌?，喬治?！?/p>
