Chapter Nine Grim Defeat
第九章 不祥的失敗
Professor Dumbledore sent all the Gryffindors back to the Great Hall,
鄧布利多教授叫所有的格蘭芬多院學生都回到禮堂去，
where they were joined ten minutes later by the students from Hufflepuff, Ravenclaw and Slytherin, who all looked extremely confused.
十分鐘以后，赫奇帕奇、拉文克勞、斯萊特林等院的學生也來了，這些學生都是一副摸不清頭腦的樣子。
'The teachers and I need to conduct a thorough search of the castle,' Professor Dumbledore told them as Professors McGonagall and Flitwick closed all doors into the Hall.

'I'm afraid that, for your own safety, you will have to spend the night here.

I want the Prefects to stand guard over the entrances to the Hall and I am leaving the Head Boy and Girl in charge.

Any disturbance should be reported to me immediately, ' he added to Percy, who was looking immensely proud and important.

One casual wave of his wand and the long tables flew to the edges of the Hall and stood themselves against the walls;
長桌就都飛到禮堂的邊上，靠墻站好了；
another wave, and the floor was covered with hundreds of squashy purple sleeping bags.
再揮一下，地面上就鋪滿了成百個紫色的睡袋。
'Sleep well,' said Professor Dumbledore, closing the door behind him.
“好好睡。”鄧布利多教授說，他出去時隨手關上了門。
The Hall immediately began to buzz excitedly; the Gryffindors were telling the rest of the school what had just happened.
禮堂立即響起了一片興奮的嚶嚶嗡嗡的說話聲，格蘭芬多院的學生忙著告訴其他學生剛才發(fā)生了什么事情。
'Everyone into their sleeping bags!' shouted Percy. 'Come on now, no more talking! Lights out in ten minutes!'
“大家都進睡袋！”珀西大聲叫道，“快，誰也不要說話了！十分鐘以后熄燈！”
