There was a moment of hushed silence, in which Trevor gulped; then there was a small pop, and Trevor the tadpole was wriggling in Snape's palm.

The Gryffindors burst into applause.

Snape, looking sour, pulled a small bottle from the pocket of his robe, poured a few drops on top of Trevor and he reappeared suddenly, fully grown.
斯內普一臉酸酸的樣子，從長袍口袋里抽出一個小瓶子，倒了幾滴在萊福身上，它突然重新出現，完全是只成年蟾蜍。
'Five points from Gryffindor,' said Snape, which wiped the smiles from every face.
“扣格蘭芬多五分。”斯內普說，這句活抹去了大家臉上的笑容。
'I told you not to help him, Miss Granger. Class dismissed.'
“我告訴你別幫助他，格蘭杰小姐。下課。”
Harry, Ron and Hermione climbed the steps to the Entrance Hall.
哈利、羅恩和赫敏爬上樓梯到了前廳。
Harry was still thinking about what Malfoy had said, while Ron was seething about Snape.
哈利仍舊在想馬爾福的話，而羅恩因為斯內普還在激動。
'Five points from Gryffindor because the potion was all right!
“扣格蘭芬多五分，就因為那藥劑對頭！
Why didn't you lie, Hermione? You should've said Neville did it all by himself!'
你為什么不撒謊呢，赫敏？你應該說就是納威自己做的！”
Hermione didn't answer. Ron looked around. 'Where is she?'
赫敏沒有回答。羅恩向四面看。“她到哪里去了？”
Harry turned, too. They were at the top of the steps now, watching the rest of the class pass them, heading for the Great Hall and lunch.
哈利也轉過身來。現在他們站在樓梯的頂端，眼看著班上其余同學在他們身旁走過，走向大廳去吃午飯。
'She was right behind us,' said Ron, frowning.
“她剛剛就在我們后面的。”羅恩皺著眉頭說。
Malfoy passed them, walking between Crabbe and Goyle.
馬爾福走過他們身旁，走在克拉布和高爾之間。
He smirked at Harry and disappeared. 'There she is,' said Harry.
他對哈利假笑了一下，然后就不見了。“她在那里。”哈利說。
Hermione was panting slightly, hurrying up the stairs;
赫敏略有些喘，急急忙忙地上了樓梯，
one hand was clutching her bag, the other seemed to be tucking something down the front of her robes.
她一手抓住書包，另一手似乎在把什么東西塞到她袍子的前襟下面。
