Harry, who was nearest the door, got up to look into the corridor.
哈利離門最近，起身去看看走廊里的情況。
All along the carriage, heads were sticking curiously out of their compartments.
走廊邊上的各個車廂里，都有人探頭出來張望。
The train came to a stop with a jolt and distant thuds and bangs told them that luggage had fallen out of the racks.
火車忽地一震，停了下來，遠處傳來砰砰啪啪的聲音，說明行李從架子上掉了下來。
Then, without warning, all the lamps went out and they were plunged into total darkness.
然后，所有的燈忽然之間都滅了，他們被投入了徹底的黑暗之中。
'What's going on?' said Ron's voice from behind Harry.
“出什么事了？”羅恩的聲音從哈利背后傳來。
'Ouch!' gasped Hermione. 'Ron, that was my foot!'
“哎喲！”赫敏氣喘吁吁地說，“羅恩，那是我的腳！”
Harry felt his way back to his seat.
哈利摸索著回到自己的座位上。
'D'you think we've broken down?' 'Dunno...'
“你說是火車壞了嗎？”“不知道……”
There was a squeaking sound, and Harry saw the dim black outline of Ron, wiping a patch clean on the window and peering out.
傳來一陣吱吱吱短促刺耳的聲音，哈利看見了羅恩模糊不清的黑色輪廓。羅恩在窗玻璃上抹出一塊干凈地方，正在往外看。
'There's something moving out there,' Ron said. 'I think people are coming aboard...'
“那兒有什么東西在動，”羅恩說，“我猜人們在往外走……”
The compartment door suddenly opened and someone fell painfully over Harry's legs.
車廂的門突然開了，有人痛苦地跌到了哈利腿上。
'Sorry! D'you know what's going on? Ouch! Sorry —'
“對不起！你知道出了什么事嗎？哎喲！對不起——”
'Hello, Neville,' said Harry, feeling around in the dark and pulling Neville up by his cloak.
“你好，納威。”哈利說，在黑暗里摸著納威的外衣把他拉了起來。
'Harry? Is that you? What's happening?' 'No idea! Sit down —'
“哈利？是你嗎？發生什么事了？”“不知道！坐下——”
There was a loud hissing and a yelp of pain; Neville had tried to sit on Crookshanks.
一陣響亮的嘶叫聲和一聲因負痛而發出的大叫，原來納威誤坐到克魯克山身上去了。
'I'm going to go and ask the driver what's going on,' came Hermione's voice.
“我正要去問司機這是怎么回事。”這是赫敏的聲音。
