Harry woke on the last day of the holidays, thinking that he would at least meet Ron and Hermione tomorrow, on the Hogwarts Express.

He got up, dressed, went for a last look at the Firebolt,

and was just wondering where he'd have lunch, when someone yelled his name and he turned.

'Harry! Harry!' They were there, both of them, sitting outside Florean Fortescue's Ice-Cream Parlour,

Ron looking incredibly freckly, Hermione very brown, both waving frantically at him.
羅恩看上去令人難以置信地奇特，赫敏曬得成了棕色，兩人都在拼命向他招手。
'Finally!' said Ron, grinning at Harry as he sat down.

'We went to the Leaky Cauldron, but they said you'd left, and we went to Flourish and Blotts, and Madam Malkin's, and –'

'I got all my school stuff last week,' Harry explained.
“上周我已經(jīng)買齊了學(xué)校需要的所有東西。”哈利解釋說，
'And how come you know I'm staying at the Leaky Cauldron?'
“你們怎么知道我住在破釜酒吧的？”
'Dad,' said Ron simply.
“我爸說的。”羅恩簡短地說。
Mr Weasley, who worked at the Ministry of Magic, would of course have heard the whole story of what had happened to Aunt Marge.
韋斯萊先生在魔法部工作，當(dāng)然會聽到整個故事，知道瑪姬姑媽的遭遇。
'Did you really blow up your aunt, Harry?' said Hermione in a very serious voice.
“你真的把你姑媽吹脹了嗎，哈利？”赫敏問道，聲調(diào)是很認真的。
'I didn't mean to,' said Harry, while Ron roared with laughter. 'I just — lost control.'
“我不是有意要這樣做的，”哈利說，這時羅恩笑得不可開交，“我只不過——一時失控罷了。”
'It's not funny, Ron,' said Hermione sharply.
“這事沒什么好笑的，羅恩。”赫敏尖銳地說，
'Honestly, I'm amazed Harry wasn't expelled.'
“說實在的，沒開除哈利，我真感到奇怪。”
'So am I,' admitted Harry. 'Forget expelled, I thought I was going to be arrested.'
“我也一樣。”哈利承認說，“我忘記了開除的事，我原來以為我要被抓起來的。”
