The Diamond
美鉆失蹤記
I am near the museum.
我在博物館附近，
The museum is not open today.
今天博物館沒開放。
I hear an alarm.
突然我聽到警鈴聲，
I go to the museum's door.
我趕到博物館的門口，
A guard walks out.
一名警衛(wèi)走了出來。
"Where are you going?
"你要去哪里？
Come with me!" I say to the guard.
跟我來！"我對那名警衛(wèi)說。
There is a valuable diamond in this museum.
這間博物館內(nèi)收藏一顆價值不斐的美鉆，
We go to check the diamond.
我們?nèi)ゲ榭茨穷w鉆石，
The diamond is not there.
但鉆石不見了。
We look for clues.
我們找尋線索，
"Do you see anything strange?" I ask the guard.
"你有沒有看見什么奇怪的事情？"我問那名警衛(wèi)。
"Mmmm," he says.
"嗯，"他答道。
"Is he saying no?" I think.
"他是說沒有嗎？"我心想，
But I can't understand him.
可是我不明白他的意思。
The diamond's box is open. Someone opened it.
鉆石的盒子開著的， 有人打開了那個盒子。
"A thief stole a diamond in Chicago last week.
"上禮拜有個竊賊在芝加哥偷了一顆鉆石，
And now this diamond is gone!" I say to him.
現(xiàn)在這顆鉆石也不見了！"我對他說。
I look at the guard. He is worried.
我看著那名警衛(wèi)， 他顯得很擔(dān)心。
I put my hand on the guard's arm and say,
我伸手搭著那名警衛(wèi)的手臂，對他說：
"Don't worry. I can solve any mystery.
"別擔(dān)心， 什么懸疑案件我都解決得了，
We can find this thief."
我們一定找得到這個賊的。"
But then, I notice something strange.
不過，這時我卻注意到了一件奇怪的事情，
The guard's uniform says, "Museum of Chicago".
那名警衛(wèi)的制服上印著"芝加哥博物館"的字樣。
I keep my hand on the guard's arm.
我繼續(xù)握著那名警衛(wèi)的手臂，
I put my other hand near his mouth and say,
把另一只手伸到他的嘴巴前面，說：
"Please open your mouth."
"請張開嘴巴。"
The diamond is there.
那顆珍貴的鉆石就在他的嘴巴里。
