let me draw a simple analogy.

Imagine a man wants to build a hill on a flat piece of land.
想象有個人想造出一座小山丘 在平地上
The hill will represent the Universe.
這山丘就代表宇宙
To make this hill, he digs a hole in the ground
為了造出山丘 他開始在地上挖洞
and uses that soil to build his hill.
用挖的土來堆出山丘
But,of course, he's not just making a hill.
但當然他不只是在堆山丘
He's also making a hole in effect,a negative version of the hill.
他同時也挖出了洞 也就是山丘的負版本
The stuff that was in the hole has now become the hill.
洞里的東西現在成了山丘
So it all perfectly balances out.
