The Pilgrims rejected the society that they were in.
這群朝圣者們并不認同他們所處的社會
They believed that the only way to preserve

their religious belief pristine was to get away,

to go somewhere where they wouldn't be bothered,

and most importantly,where their children wouldn't be tempted

by what they had seen in Holland and England.
