Children's Day
歡樂兒童節
Moms and dads think about their kids every day.
媽媽和爸爸每天都會想著他們的孩子們。
But there is one day when everyone thinks about children.
不過，有一天卻是所有人都會想到兒童，
That day is called Children's Day.
這一天叫做兒童節。
Different places celebrate Children's Day on different dates.
不同的國家慶祝兒童節的日子也不一樣，
November 20 is Children's Day in many places around the world.
世界上許多地方的兒童節訂在十一月二十日。
Some countries work on this day.
有些國家在這一天仍要上班，
Other countries get a day off!
有些國家在這一天則是會休假！
Everybody has rights.
每個人都有權利。
On Children's Day, we think about children's rights.
在兒童節這一天，我們會思考兒童的權利，
Kids can learn about their rights.
孩童可以學習知道他們的權利。
Children are the future.
兒童是未來，
Every child should be safe.
每個兒童都應該在安全的環境長大，
Children should be healthy, too.
兒童也應該有健康的身體，
And every child should feel loved.
而且每個兒童都應該受到疼愛。
But some children are not safe, healthy or loved.
不過，有些兒童卻在不安全、不健康，或是沒有受到疼愛的環境成長。
Children's Day is a great day to help them.
兒童節就是幫助這些兒童的好日子。
Some people visit sick children in hospitals on Children's Day.
有些人會在兒童節探訪醫院里的病童，
Others help poor children.
另外有些人會幫助貧窮的兒童。
There are many fun things for kids to do on Children's Day.
孩子在兒童節當天可以做許多好玩的事情。
Some cities have fairs just for kids!
有些城市會舉辦專供兒童參加的園游會！
Go to a zoo or museum.
到動物園或博物館去吧，
They often make Children's Day special, too.
這些地方通常也會為兒童節舉辦特別活動。
Kids are important.
孩童很重要，
Remember that on Children's Day!
