Millions of families have trouble falling asleep.
數以百萬的家庭都有難以入睡的困擾。
Do you know why? There's someone in the family who has a snoring problem.
你知道原因何在嗎?因為家中有個人有打鼾的毛病。
The problem can be quite serious. In some cases, couples have to sleep in separate bedrooms.
這問題可能相當嚴重。有些情形下夫妻必須分房睡。
And in others, kids can never study or even watch TV once Dad hits the sack.
也有些情形是只要老爸一睡覺,孩子們可能就無法讀書或看電視。
So how can we avoid being a snoring nuisance?
所以要如何才能避免成為一個會打鼾的討厭家伙呢?
One way is to avoid eating a big meal before going to bed.
方法之一是避免在就寢前大吃一頓,
Drinking alcohol near bedtime is something, which also causes snoring.
接近上床時間喝酒也會引起打鼾。
Changing the position in which the snorer sleeps also helps.
改變打鼾者的睡姿也會有所幫助,
Another alternative is to wear ear plugs.
另一個選擇是戴上耳塞。
But if all these ideas fail, you have only one choice:

Wake the snorer up. Tell him it's his turn to watch you sleep.
