Los Angeles is a really great city. You have the beach, museums, great weather. I think it's a city with a lot of fun, a lot of style. Los Angeles is a melting pot of many different cultures. It's old, it's new, it's exciting and it's really the city of opportunity. Los Angeles is a fabulous city for food. For me, the kitchen is my playground. Hello. I'm Wolfgang Puck, and this is my Los Angeles.

When I came to the United States, I spent a month in New York and then a year in Indianapolis, but I always dream about the beaches in California. In 1974, I packed my suitcases, put 'em in a trailer and drove straight to Los Angeles.

Los Angeles has a great art scene. Many of the fabulous artists actually live here and work here and produce their art here. Painters always say you need great light to do great paintings, and I think Los Angeles has great light. We have this fabulous museum here. You can see all this contemporary art here. It's beautiful.

Another famous Los Angeles artist is Chris Burden, and he made the great artwork out of lampposts from all over the county. It looks beautiful right outside of the museum.

When I came to Los Angeles, I asked the concierge at the hotel where I was staying, "Where's the beach?" He said just take Venice Boulevard down to Venice, and you will find the beach. Everything is here. If you want your tattoo done, if you're a great basketball player, you want to get muscles，toe rings... what more do we need? And my friend has my ice cream shop here.

The movie industry started in Los Angeles because of the fabulous light and very little rain . Many people in Los Angeles want to be actors and actresses. Half of our waiters are really actors. It's a city of dreams.

Rodeo Drive is one of the best shopping streets in the world, everybody from Dior to Cartier to jimmy Choo to Louis Vuitton. You name it, they are there. You're gonna shop until you drop. That's what they say here.

Los Angeles is really the great melting pot of so many different cultures. We are in downtown Los Angeles in Chinatown. We have everything, huh? AII the good luck. Longevity, that's what I need. They use a lot of spices. You can smell it when you walk down the street. So, my style of cooking has become really a reflection of the picture of Los Angeles-all multicultural.
