①題目《雨雪時候的星辰》翻譯為Stars on a Snowy Night。“雨雪”作“下雪”解，“雨”在此是動詞，讀音為yù。
② “無聊” 翻譯為ennui,是英語常用文學語言，意即a feeling of boredom caused by a lack of excitement or activity。
③ “一點星光都看不見” 譯為not a single star in sight,是句中獨立主格，和not a single star being in sight同。又譯文用s押頭韻，night和sight壓韻腳，有音韻美。

④ “荷和我……” 譯為My roommate and I...，其中用My roommate(同寢之友)代替專門名詞He(荷)，以免外國讀者把He讀解為男性第三人稱的代詞。
