老師：馬修，新西蘭的氣候怎么樣?

Matthew: Very Cold, sir.

馬修：先生，那里的天氣很冷。

Teacher: Wrong.

1.climate

climate是氣候的意思。weather也是天氣的意思，

weather 意為“天氣”，為不可數名詞，不能在前面加不定冠詞，如我們只能說in such fine weather , 而不能說in such a fine weather。如：

The weather has changed. 天氣變了。

Notice：weather前雖不可加不定冠詞，但在表示“各種各樣的天氣”，或“不論哪種天氣”時，weather用復數。如：

She goes out in all weathers.

weather 指某特定地區在一定時間的氣象情況。

climate 指一般比較長的時間，如一季的天氣狀況。

A drier climate would be good for her health.氣候干燥的地區會對她的健康有益。

2.send

看看和send有關的搭配：

send across：(cause sb/sth to) pass or move across sth

eg：I wish you hadn't sent Bill across the Post Office on his own; that road is dangerous for a small child.

但愿你沒有讓比爾單獨橫穿馬路到郵局去,這條路小孩走很危險。

send for：

1.召喚,派人去叫; 派人去取 summon by a message or messenger;

a：send for sb/sth

They sent for the doctor.他們派人去請醫生。

b：send sb for sth

Mother sent my brother for the luggage.媽媽派哥哥去取行李。

2.申請; 訂購 send a request or order for sth
