Joe: That's fine with me. But we'll have to get there early. After 8 p.m., there's always a long waiting line.
Anne: Is it that popular?
Joe: Welcome to the 21st century!
Anne: Okay, okay. We're there tonight. So what does it cost? 
Joe: One dollar buys 15 minutes of computer time. This talk isn't cheap.
Anne: I don't know. I'll feel funny talking through a computer.
Joe: Then you've got to figure out a cool name for that.
Anne: Well, how about Cinderella?
Joe: Sounds good. I guarantee you can talk to girls who would never talk to you if they saw your face.
Anne: What's that supposed to mean?
Joe: Well, look in the mirror.
講解：
1. 這里Anne 決定跟Joe 去網吧上網聊天。Joe說要早一點去，否則就沒有機器了。There's always a long waiting line. 排長隊等候，就是說人很多。
2. Anne還不相信，問Is it that popular? 有那么火嗎？這里that修飾了一個形容詞 ，表示“那么”，在口語當中很常用。例如：The movie is not that bad. 那部電影沒有那么糟糕。
3. Joe說Welcome to the 21st century!表面上看是“歡迎來到21世紀！”其實是嘲笑Anne好象是從過去來到21世紀的，很土。類似的還有 “Welcome to the earth！”，歡迎來到地球，是說某人很怪，象外星人一樣，但是突然有一天變的正常了，就可以這么說。
4. 上網聊天還
要起一個比較吸引人的名字，you've got to figure out a cool name for that. Anne起了一個網名叫Cinderella，就是灰姑娘。
5. Joe也同意，但是他還不忘跟Anne開玩笑，他說I guarantee you can talk to girls who would never talk to you if they saw your face. 我保證那些看見你本人都不會搭理你的男生都會跟你聊天的。Anne不服氣地問到，What's that supposed to mean? 你是什么意思？Joe把玩笑開到底，look in the mirror. 自己照鏡子看看吧。也就是說他開玩笑說Anne是一個“恐龍 ”。
