一、過去完成時
概念：過去的過去開始，到過去完成。
結構：had + done
e.g. The play had already started when we got to the theatre.
e.g. By the end of last month they had treated over 10,000 patients.
e.g. I had been at the bus stop for 20 minutes when a bus finally came.
e.g. I returned the book that I had borrowed.
特殊用法：hardly….. when….; no sooner….. than….; it was the 序數詞 time that…
e.g. Hardly had he begun to speak when the audience interrupted him. 他剛開始演講，聽眾就打斷了他。
e.g. No sooner had he arrived than he went away again. 他剛到就又走了。
e.g. It was the third time that he had been out of work that year. 這是他那一年第三次失業了。

四、完成進行時：
現在完成進行時：have been doing ( have done + be doing)
將來完成進行時：will have been doing (will be + have been doing)
過去完成進行時：had been doing something( had + done + be doing)
