Jimmy and a Salesman
吉米和推銷員
Jimmy is sitting on the steps in front of a house.
吉米坐在房屋前的臺(tái)階上。
A salesman comes up and asks him, "Hi,boy, is your mother at home?"
一個(gè)售貨員走了過(guò)來(lái),問(wèn)他,“嗨,小子,你媽媽在家嗎?”
"Yes, " says Jimmy.
“是的,”吉米說(shuō)。
The salesman is very happy.

He begins to ring the doorbell. He rings and rings,

but there is no answer. At last, he turns to Jimmy and says.

"You told me your mother is at home, didn't you?"

"Yes, I did," says the boy, "but did I tell you this is my house?"
