part是「部分」，parce丨除了「包裹」的意思外，原本也可以解釋為「部分」。part和parcel兩個字連用，彼此又押「頭韻」(alliteration，以相同的子音開頭），是以「反復」的修辭法來加強語氣，表示「不可分割的一部分」、「完全屬于其中的東西」。
