講解：
breach的字根和break相同，原本是指城墻上的破洞、裂口。從前的城池被圍攻時，城墻上出現裂□是最危急的情況，這時就得有人挺身向前，站在裂口中充當城墻，這就是 step into the breach。引申為各種「及時挺身而出、伸出援手的動作」。
