I have said that the soul is not more than the body.

And I have said that the body is not more than the soul.
肉體也不能脫離靈魂而行
And nothing, not god is greater to

one than oneself is.
比自己更強大
I hear and behold god in every object
我從世間萬象中聽到主 看到主
yet understand god not in the least.
卻不能明白主的一絲一毫
Nor do I understand
也不能明白
who they are can be more wonderful than myself.
比我偉大的人們
In the faces of men and women I see god.
我在世間男女面貌上 及我鏡中的形象里
And in my own face in the glass,
看到主的面容
I find letters from god dropped in the street
我找到了主掉在街上的信
and everyone is signed by god's name.
每個人都簽著真主的名字
I leave them where they are,
我離開了他們在的地方
for I know that wherever I go,
因為我知道無論到哪里
others will punctually come
其他人都將及時趕到
forever and ever.
