rain check: 是指留到下一次吧。本來是指由于下雨天或其他原因而被延誤或者推遲的球賽，但觀眾已經買了票子，退又不方便，所以下次來看的話也一樣有效，在TOEFL的聽力中經常出現。

2. Lynette: "Give me a break. You know our kids. I love them dearly, but that goes in one ear and out the other."

Goes in one ear and out the other, 字面上就知道是“一個耳朵進，一個耳朵出”的意思。

3. Susan: "Are you saying that I'm the result of my mother having a one-night stand?"

one night stand: 一夜情

4. Bree: "I'm sorry to drop by unannounced, but I just had this disturbing visit from an old friend of yours. A Leila Mitzman."

前面說到拜訪他人的時候要提前通知對方，但由于某種重要的或者特殊原因不能提前通知他人就立馬來到他人的住所時，你就可以說“I'm sorry to drop by unannounced”意思就是很抱歉沒有說一聲就來了。

Antidepressant: [醫(yī)]抗抑郁劑,抗抑郁病藥antipsychotic: 安定藥hallucination: 幻覺
