127.Re-entry into life
As Mark came out in the open he was in the seventh heaven; it was beautiful!
The leaves were turning red and the sky was blue! Oh how he had missed that when he was in prison!
But now he was free, determined not to get in trouble!
He had a new business in the works and, if all went according to plan, he would only be in the red for a couple of months.
Then he would be able to get in touch with his children and let them know he was out!
Right now, however, he didn't want to be in the spotlight, he just wanted to slip back into life,
the glorious life of being free under a blue sky with the wind at his face laughing in the way only a child could laugh!
Nothing stood in the way of him now!
Then Mark began to realize that life in the world wasn't as easy as he had remembered while in prison.
People were cruel there, but that was expected--it was prison.
But outside people should in theory be kind, ready to help each other.
The opposite was sometimes the case, especially for an ex-convict.
He tried in vain, for example, to make friends with the neighbors,
but they just ignored him, not even inviting him to block parties.
Mark got used to it in time. He decided that his energy was best in use making his new business succeed.
And finally his neighbors warmed to him and accepted him in trust into the community.
Then Mark started planning on rebuilding his relationships with his kids...
