53.畸形動物巡回展
When a strange looking lizard with eight legs came out of the ground one night, Wilson Coates thought his dreams had come true.
一天晚上，一只樣子怪怪的八腳蜥蜴出現在地上時，威爾遜科茨認為他的夢想成為了現實。
When the value of this creature came to light, he was sure he would make millions.
當這種動物顯示出它的價值時，他知道他定能成為百萬富翁。
He called all of his friends to come over and see a miracle.
他打電話給所有朋友讓他們過來看這個奇跡。
When they arrived Wilson talked for a long time before finally coming to the point!

They gasped when they saw the lizard.
看到那只蜥蜴他們都倒抽了一口冷氣。
Wilson quickly made the showing come to a conclusion, however,
然而，威爾遜很快就給展出下了結論，
and said that they would have to pay to see the lizard next time!
說下次看蜥蜴得交費！
His friends tried to come to terms with him for one more look, but he held fast.
朋友們想和他達成協議再看一眼，可他就是死活不肯。
No reason came to his mind to let them look for free at what others would pay money to see.
他想不出任何理由讓他們白看別人花錢才能看的東西。
But he did promise that, come rain or shine, they could come any time to pay for a look!
但是他保證，不論情況如何，只要交錢，他們什么時候來看都行！
That's when Wilson really came to life and started selling looks at the lizard throughout the town.
威爾遜就是在這個時候真正變得活躍起來，讓城里所有的人掏錢看他的蜥蜴。
And people paid. People came out of the woodwork to see that lizard.
人們還真愿意掏錢。他們紛紛公開露面一飽眼福。
But soon nobody wanted to look again and Wilson feared his new career was coming to a bad end!
不過很快就沒有人想看第二次了，威爾遜擔心他新開創的事業會逍到毀滅！
When a friend told him to come on to the neighboring town, Wilson came through his despair and left to travel.
一位朋友告訴他可以繼續去附近的城鎮，威爾遜一下又從絕望中緩過勁兒來，他開始了四處周游。
If people thought this would all come to nothing, he thought, well, he would show them!
如果人們認為所有這一切都將沒有結果，他想，那他就要證明給他們看！
And he did.
他還真的做到了。
As he traveled he found more and more strange creatures to show.
在外面跑著跑著，他找到了越來越多的觀賞動物。
Soon he had his own traveling freak show. It still hasn't come to an end!
很快他就有了他自己的畸形動物巡回展。他的事業還沒有結束！
