Man: How's it going, Mary? Got your schedule all worked out for the semester?

Woman: It's coming together, actually, I just heard about my student teaching assignment.
女：實(shí)際上，我的課程表有沖突。我剛聽(tīng)說(shuō)了我的教課任務(wù)情況。
Man: Teaching assignment? You're student teaching?
男：教課任務(wù)？你要教學(xué)生？
Woman: Yeah, you know I'm majoring in education so one of the requirements is to teach for a semester in a classroom, usually at the local school in town.
女：是啊 ，你知道的，我的專業(yè)是教育學(xué)，所以其中一門(mén)必修課就是要在教室里教一個(gè)學(xué)期的課，通常都是在鎮(zhèn)上的當(dāng)?shù)貙W(xué)校。
We help teach the kids at the school one day a week. I just got my class assignment.
我們一個(gè)星期幫忙給學(xué)校的孩子們上一天課。我剛剛才拿到分班結(jié)果。
Man: Well, that's good.
男：那很好啊。
Woman: Yeah, but I've got a scheduling problem.
女：是啊，但是這樣我的課程表就出問(wèn)題了啊。
Man: Uh, oh.
男：啊？
Woman: The day I've been assigned to teach at the school in town will be the same day my Chinese History course meets here at the university.
女：我被分配到要去鎮(zhèn)上學(xué)校教課的那一天，正好就是我要在大學(xué)里上中國(guó)歷史課的那天。
Man: Hmmm, well, could you wait to take the Chinese History course? Sign up for it at another semester or something.
男：嗯......那你能不能之后再上中國(guó)歷史課呢？報(bào)名上下個(gè)學(xué)期的課什么的。
Woman: Yeah, but, this one's taught by Dr. Zhang, he's a visiting professor.
女：可以啊，但是，這個(gè)學(xué)期教中國(guó)歷史的老師是張博士，他只是個(gè)客座教授。
He'll only be here one semester and he's supposed to be amazing. I'm really interested in the class since I might be visiting China.
下學(xué)期他就不在這兒了，而且據(jù)說(shuō)他教得很棒。因?yàn)槲铱赡軙?huì)去中國(guó)旅游，所以我真的對(duì)這門(mén)課很感興趣。
Man: Is there another option?
男：還有別的辦法嗎？
Woman: Yeah, actually, the teaching assignment is on a day when I will be working with older kids, teenagers, but the school also needs a student teacher to work in a classroom with little kids, like five- and six-year olds and it's on a different day when I am free so I could do it.
女：有啊。實(shí)際上我被指派去教課的那天是去教一些比較大的孩子，青少年們，但是那個(gè)學(xué)校也需要教小孩子的班級(jí)的學(xué)生老師，那些孩子大概五到六歲，教這個(gè)班的那一天我正好沒(méi)事兒，所以我可以去教這個(gè)班。
Man: So you could change your teaching assignment to a different day.
男：所以你可以把教課任務(wù)換到另一天。
Woman: Yeah, it's just that I really wanna teach older kids.
女：是的，只是我真的很想教大一點(diǎn)的孩子。
Man: Oh!
男：哦！
Woman: I'm planning on teaching older kids when I graduate, so it would be better experience for me, for my career.
女：我打算畢業(yè)之后就去教大一點(diǎn)的孩子，所以這對(duì)我來(lái)說(shuō)，對(duì)我的職業(yè)生涯來(lái)說(shuō)，會(huì)是更好的經(jīng)驗(yàn)。
