The writer and the speakerhave a debate on feeding bird during the winter. The writer believes it hasnegative influences on birds, which is opposed by the following lecture.
First, the writer claims thatbirds gather easily, thus spreading diseases. While the speaker views thisissue from an opposite angle, according to him/her, the diseases that spread inHinch are always group-by-group. It has nothing to do with humans.
Secondly, the passage statesthat bad weather results in shortage of food supply. However, the speaker castsdoubt on this opinion by saying that if humans feed birds, extra nutrition willmake them stronger and healthier, enhancing the speed of reproduction. Thenumber of new-born birds will be larger than the number of dead birds.
Last, the writer argues that itwill influence birds’ migration pattern. By contrast, in accordance with thespeaker, this claim does not hold water. It will not disturb the pattern ofnatural migration, because birds will depend on shortened sunlight to decidethe migration time.

寫作思路：
這道題是比較典型的事實類題目。可以采取拆分的方法比較好解題。可以拆不同的sports或者lessons都可以。我們可以說籃球教會我們團隊合作精神，長跑教會我們堅持不懈的毅力以及蹦極教會我們勇氣。當然還有很多其他方面，比如運動教會我們樂觀的心態，教會我們競爭意識，領導能力等等。想到思路之后還要注意細節的展開，充分論證。

1. 做運動可以叫我們如何與他人合作。（cooperate with/ unity/teamwork spirit）很多運動需要我們組隊完成，比如籃球比賽，需要六個人協調配合，如果一個人只關注自己，和不懂得如何和他人進行搭配，那么肯定會輸。
2. 教會了我們做事情要堅持（never give up）。比如馬拉松Marathon，需要長時間和強嫩的毅力（persistence、perseverance）很多體育活動都是比較累，比較辛苦的，如果要想在體育上有所建樹的話，必須付出很多艱辛的努力。我們生活也是一樣的，很多時候，生活并不是這么如意和一帆風順，需要我們有一顆堅強的心。
3. 運動教會我們學則合適的東西。選擇自己合適的運動就好比選擇好的動作一樣，短跑需要運動員有較強的爆發力（explosive power）。有些疾病的人需要選一些稍微溫和項目(light sports / walking swimming)。
4. 競爭意識。體育活動，如果你要取勝的話那么就必須要有競爭意識。生活中很多方面，如果想勝人一籌，也得有競爭意識。
5. 運動可以提高一個能的領導能力，一個人曾經領導一個團隊進行比賽。他可能需要引導隊員，可能會鼓勵隊員們去的勝利
6. 運動還可以教會人們在激烈的比賽中如何保持樂觀（optimistic）的心態。不管成功和失敗，大家都能很好的對待。每場比賽都是特別緊張和激烈，因為大家都希望能夠在比賽中獲得勝利。
