1. What would you suggest to somebody if he was planning to come to your country to study abroad? Give details and examples to support your response. Begin your response after the beep.
There are three things that I would suggest if he was planning on studying in China. First, he should bring medicine that he uses at home, because foreigners sometimes get sick from Chinese food, and they are not that used to Chinese medicine. Another thing I would suggest is that he should bring gifts from his country, which represents its local culture, such as handcraft goods or paintings. In this way, he can share his culture with his Chinese friends and make more friends by giving them these gifts. The third suggestion is to read and learn everything he needs to know about China before he comes, such as Chinese culture, Chinese eating habits and famous tourist sites he should visit. These are the three things I would suggest to somebody planning on coming to China.
2. Do you think that people will read fewer books in the future than today? Give details and examples to support your response. Begin your response after the beep.
I think in the future people will read just as many books as they do now. What I think will change is that instead of printed books, people will be more likely to read electronic books. With the advent of technology, peoples’ reading habits have changed. Instead of reading newspapers and magazine, people simply search for subjects online and find out news that way. However that is not the case with books. People looking to read for pleasure still pick up a novel to read. I also think that even if a few people choose different writing formats over books, there will still be countless students who are assigned books to read. Yes there will be some students who will read the summary online, but students nowadays do that anyway, so nothing will have changed.
