①在美國，若你打電話的對象已換了新號碼，通常你會在電話中聽到一下錄音：

There is no new number.= There is no referral.(referral指已搬家的人委托電話公司在有人撥原號碼找他時告知來電者新號碼.電話公司的這種服務稱作number referral service,一般服務期為三個月)
②若你打電話的對象已委托電話公司進行此項服務，你會在電話里聽到：
The number you have reached,67854620,has been changed.The new number is 69523480,please make note of it.(您所撥的號碼67854620已經更改.新號碼為69523480.請您記下來.)
