With the heat of summer right around the corner, stepping outside for a quick errand at noon can leave you drenched in sweat. While showering after sweating is an obvious solution to stay fresh, a less clear question arises: "Do you still need to shower on days when you don't visibly sweat?"
夏天到了,又到了中午出去取個外賣就一身汗的時候,渾身黏糊糊的感覺簡直不要太難受。出汗了要洗澡,清爽又舒服,這是大家都知道的基本共識,那如果今天沒有出汗,還要不要洗澡呢?
The answer, according to experts, is yes. Even without noticeable sweating, daily showers are recommended during summer months.
專家認為,答案是肯定的。即使沒有明顯出汗,我們建議夏天最好可以每天洗一次澡。
Human skin is densely covered with sweat glands. For instance, our palms and soles contain 250 to 550 sweat glands per square centimeter, which is roughly the size of an adult's fingernail.
我們的皮膚表面幾乎布滿了汗腺。以手掌和腳掌為例,每平方厘米的皮膚(大約像成人小指甲蓋的大小),就有250個到550個的汗腺。
While sweating due to exercise, overheating or stress is obvious, the body continuously releases moisture through a process called insensible perspiration, sweating that is too subtle to feel.
當我們在運動、高溫環境或情緒激動時,皮膚的汗腺就會分泌汗水,然后通過蒸發、散熱調節體溫,避免身體過熱。這時候的汗,大家能明顯感覺出來。但其實,即使感覺不出來,我們也無時無刻不在出汗。這種主觀上沒有感覺出來的出汗,就是“不顯性出汗”。
Areas with apocrine glands, such as armpits, produce thicker, oilier sweat that is rich in proteins, sugars and ammonia. When broken down by bacteria, this mixture can lead to body odor or conditions like bromhidrosis, or excessive body odor, and axillary osmidrosis, or severe underarm odor.
尤其在腋窩、私密處等部位,還會有特殊的汗腺,我們叫做大汗腺。它產生的汗水黏稠、油分重,還有蛋白質、糖和氨,再加上細菌的“催化”,更容易產生汗臭味。如果這種汗臭味更嚴重一些,就是我們說的狐臭、腋臭了。
Beyond sweat, skin accumulates environmental pollutants, dust, natural oils, dead cells and bacteria. Regular cleansing helps prevent these deposits from compromising hygiene.
除開外界環境,皮膚還會自然分泌油脂和死皮細胞,這些都可以在身體表面堆積。所以說,即使沒有明顯的出汗,建議仍要有適度的洗澡頻率,保持身體清潔基本衛生要求。

研究人員表示,用溫水淋浴可以促進放松,緩解壓力,甚至激發創造力。
