Seven medical professionals who cared for Argentine soccer legend Diego Maradona during his final days go on trial Tuesday accused of criminal negligence over his death.
阿根廷一家法院11日開庭審理足球傳奇巨星迭戈·馬拉多納的死亡案件，其私人醫護團隊中的7名成員被控過失殺人。
Maradona died aged 60 on Nov 25, 2020, while recovering from brain surgery for a blood clot, after decades of battling cocaine and alcohol addictions.
馬拉多納于2020年11月25日去世，享年60歲。幾十年來，他一直在與可卡因和酒精成癮作斗爭，當時他正從因血栓而進行的腦部手術中恢復。
Prosecutors allege that Maradona's death could have been avoided and accuse the hospital staff of medical negligence.
檢察官聲稱，馬拉多納的死亡本來是可以避免的，并指責醫院工作人員醫療疏忽。
The defendants, including Maradona's brain surgeon, psychiatrist and nurses, are charged with homicide and face up to 25 years in jail if convicted.
