Dutch speed skating legend Ireen Wust will become the only summer or winter Olympian to win individual gold at five separate Games if she claims a title in Beijing. She will compete in the 1000m, 1500m and team pursuit.
如果荷蘭速度滑冰傳奇人物艾琳·伍斯特在北京奪冠，她將成為唯一一位獲得五枚個人金牌的夏季或冬季奧運會選手。她將參加1000米、1500米和團體追逐賽。
The 35-year-old has won 11 Olympic medals since her debut in Turin, in 2006. Included in that haul are five golds, of which four are for competing in an individual event. At Beijing 2022 she will go for a record fifth consecutive individual crown.

The 49-year-old German will become the oldest woman to compete at a Winter Olympics in Beijing and the second athlete - and only woman - to compete in eight Winter Games.

Pechstein, a five-time Olympic champion, qualified in the mass start, an event that debuted four years ago in Pyeongchang and features up to 24 skaters racing 16 laps at the same time. Many of her competitors weren’t born when she won her first Olympic medal, a bronze at the 1992 Albertville Games.

Italian short track legend Arianna Fontana has won eight Winter Olympic medals for Italy, the most for any female short track skater. Only three short track skaters in today's world have won eight Olympic medals: Fontana, Apolo Ohno (male) of the US and Viktor An (male) of Russia.

Since both Ohno and An have retired, Fontana will have the record all to herself if she stands on the podium again at Beijing 2022. The 31-year-old has entered her 16th season and prepares for her fifth Winter Olympics.

Akito Watabe is eyeing his fifth Olympic Winter Games at Beijing 2022. The 33-year-old is a two-time silver medalist in the men’s individual normal hill 10-kilometer event, reaching the podium at the 2014 Sochi Olympics and again four years later in Pyeongchang, South Korea.
渡部曉斗正瞄準了他的第五屆奧運會——北京冬奧會。這位33歲的選手曾兩度獲得北歐兩項男子個人標準臺+10公里越野滑雪比賽銀牌，繼2014索契冬奧會登領獎臺后，2018年在韓國平昌再次獲得銀牌。
Watabe made his Games debut at Turin 2006 while he was still in high school in Hakuba, Nagano prefecture, one of Japan’s skiing hotbeds. He was overall Nordic combined World Cup champion for the 2017-18 season, becoming only the second Japanese athlete to achieve the feat.

The 37-year-old possesses the most glittering record in world skeleton. Eight times an IBSF World Cup winner, having won 50 times on the circuit, the Latvian is also a five-time world champion and a nine-time European champion.

Xu Mengtao is one of the most decorated athletes in her sport, aerial freestyle skiing. The 31-year-old Chinese claimed her 26th Freestyle Skiing World Cup win with a victory in the aerials event in Finland last December.

Short-track speedskating star Charles Hamelin has become a Canadian fixture of the Winter Olympics, an almost sure bet to climb the medal podium. Beijing 2022 will be the 37-year-old's fifth and final Olympic appearance.

The skater has five Olympic medals, including three gold. Hamelin won the 1,500 meters - his 12th world title - at the world championships last spring, the Canadian team's first international competition in more than a year due to COVID-19.

Since starting in the sport in 2003, Chinese snowboarder Liu Jiayu had shone on the international stage, winning six World Cup events and becoming a victor at the FIS Snowboarding World Championships in 2009.

Pyeongchang, her third Winter Games, was her first Olympic podium after she just missed out in finishing fourth in her Winter Games debut in Vancouver, Canada, back in 2010 as a teenager. Liu took silver in the women's halfpipe at the Pyeongchang Winter Olympics.
平昌冬奧會是她的第三屆冬奧會，也是她第一次登上奧運領獎臺，此前她在2010年溫哥華冬奧會首秀中獲得第四名，當時她還未成年。劉佳宇在平昌冬奧會上獲得了女子U型場地技巧賽銀牌。

Cai Xuetong is already a snowboarding pioneer in China, but a podium at Beijing 2022 would set her legacy in stone. In 2009, she became the first Chinese snowboarder to win the FIS World Youth Snowboarding Championships, blazing a trail for Chinese shredders.
蔡雪桐已經是中國單板滑雪運動的先鋒，但在北京冬奧會登上領獎臺將鞏固她的地位。2009年，她成為第一個贏得國際雪聯世界青年單板滑雪錦標賽的中國選手，為中國單板滑雪運動員開辟了一條道路。
Fast forward 13 years, and the halfpipe hero is a double world champion, landing 27 podiums at 37 World Cups with 12 wins. With the Beijing 2022 Winter Olympic Games in her back yard this February, Cai is ready to set the snow on fire at her fourth Olympics and claim the biggest prize of all: that elusive Olympic medal.
13年間，這位U型場地英雄成為雙料世界冠軍，在37場世界杯比賽中，她27次登上領獎臺，收獲了12次冠軍。今年2月，北京冬奧會就在她的祖國舉辦，蔡雪桐準備在她的第四屆奧運會上點燃冰雪激情，沖擊最高榮譽奧運會金牌。
