Jayne Mansfield was a natural brunette, but became famous for her long blond hair. Her flamboyant image was attractive and inviting. She had a distinctive soft voice and a voluptuous figure. Between the years 1956 and 1957 Mansfield’s photo was published in over 2,500 separate newspapers. She was a household name and received many comparisons to Marilyn Monroe. In response to this she was quoted as saying, “cleavage, of course, helped me get to where I am. I don’t know how she got there.”
