Lying is quite a complex process for thebody and brain to deal with.

說謊對于人的身體和大腦來說都是一個相當復雜的過程。

First your brain produces the truthwhich it then has to suppress before inventing the lie and the performance ofthat lie.

首先你的大腦會回憶起事實的真相，然后你必須隱藏起這個真相并編造謊言，然后還要把謊言講出來。

This often leads to a longer pause thannormal before answering, plus a verbal stalling technique like ‘Why do you askthat?’ rather than a direct and open response.

而這往往會導致說謊人在回答問題前停頓更長的時間，還會用諸如“你為什么這么問？”等問題來拖延回答你問題的時間，而不是直接毫無保留地回答。
