Jean: ...music is my life.
珍：……音樂是我的生命。
Paul: Yes, I agree, I can't live without music either. It seems to fulfill my life. The right music can change my mood and let me feel, and do what I want. Do you know what I mean?
保羅：是的，我同意，我也無法過沒有音樂的日子。音樂似乎成就了我的生活，對味的音樂可以改變我的心情，讓我有所感動并做我想做的事，你懂我的意思嗎？
Jean: I know exactly what you mean. It makes me feel the same way.
珍：我十分明白你的意思，音樂也使我有同樣的感覺。
Paul: Why did you come to this gig?
保羅：你為什么來參加這個演唱會？
Jean: Well, I think rap music is kind of cool, and the rhythm is easy to dance to. And this guy has got to be the best vocalist. I listen to him again and again.
珍：嗯，我覺得說唱樂有些酷，而且節奏分明，容易跟著起舞。況且，這個人已經成為最好的歌星。我一遍又一遍地聽他的歌。
Paul: I'm a bit of a groupy for this guy too. I love to dance to is music in the discos. It's got a quick tempo, a nice rhythm, and a heavy beat.
保羅：我也有點迷這個人，在迪斯科舞廳，我愛聽他的音樂跳舞。他的音樂速度快，有節奏感，節拍很強烈。
Jean: Do you like reggae? That's got a similiar heavy beat.

Paul: No, not really. The beat is right, but the tempo is too slow, like soul, jazz and blues. And it's impossible to dance to.
保羅：不，不很喜歡。節拍不錯，但是速度太慢，像是靈魂樂、爵士樂及布魯斯曲，而且根本不可能跟著跳舞。
