This year's fifth typhoon hit Hong Kong yesterday.
昨天是今年第五次臺風襲擊香港。
The number 8 signal was hoisted at 7 a.m.
早上七點刮起八號臺風。
The rescue services were busy all day.
營救隊伍整天都很忙碌。
In the morning

they spent five hours looking for two windsurfers in Tolo Harbour.
他們花了五個小時在Tolo海港尋找兩個玩帆板的人。
They used three helicopters and twenty men.
他們派用了三架直升飛機和二十個人。
Finally they found thewindsurfers.
最后他們發現了那兩個玩帆板的人。
They were sheltering on an island in the harbour.

At Shek O a group of surfers went into the water after the red flag was hoisted

If the red flag is hoisted,

it is dangerous to go into the water but the surfers took no notice.

One of the policemen said,'A huge wave knocked a rubbish bin into the water
