臺北消息，臺灣立法機構負責人王金平涉嫌司法關說(說情)丑聞，周三，臺灣地區領導人馬英九敦促其辭職。

lobbying scandal就是說情丑聞，legislative body是立法機構，step down是辭職。
王金平已不適任臺灣地區立法機構負責人一職，國民黨（KMT）如不對其作出撤銷黨籍（expel Wang from his post）以上的處分，解除（dismiss）其不分區“立委”資格，“等于默許司法尊嚴被繼續踐踏（the authority of justice and law will be further undermined）”。
本月6日，臺檢方（procuratorial agency）特偵組對外揭露，臺當局法務部門前負責人曾勇夫在任內涉嫌接受王金平的“關說”（從中給人說好話），指示檢察官（prosecutor）對臺立法機構民進黨團總召集人柯建銘所涉案件的判決不再提出上訴（not appeal），讓柯無罪脫身（be acquitted）。其后，曾勇夫辭職，丑聞焦點指向王金平。
被控關說司法案件的“立法院長”王金平10日返臺，發表聲明否認指控（deny the accusations）。
國民黨考紀會11日上午做出處分決定，王金平被撤銷黨籍（withdraw Wang's party membership）。
馬英九說，希望王金平主動請辭（resign himself），為國民黨保持尊嚴（protect the image of the party）。但對王金平的機場談話，自己非常失望，完全不能接受。“站在大是大非的面前（face a cardinal issue of right and wrong），我別無選擇（with no option）。只有明確地表達我的態度（make a clear stand），并他呼吁國民黨黨員站在大是大非的這一邊（take the side of justice）。”馬英九表示，黨的團結要建立在清廉（integrity）、勤政（diligence）、愛民（care for people）的核心價值之上。
