1. keep abreast
并行，并肩
eg. We can't keep abreast of the developing situation unless we study harder.
我們如果不加強學習，就會跟不上形勢。
eg. We should keep abreast with the present state of science.

2. used to do
過去常常做；
eg. I used to get up early and take an hour's walk before breakfast.
